The "Come Along for the Ride" July Challenge!

The winner will receive TWO complete sets of all of Sarah Dessen's novels in paperback: Along for the Ride, [ARC], Lock and Key, Just Listen, The Truth About Forever, This Lullaby, Dreamland, Keeping the Moon, Someone Like You & That Summer. One set for themselves and one set for the person they're taking along for the ride.

Well i think the perfect person to come Along for the ride with me is one of my best friends Ashley! We just met this year but we quickly became friends because of our love for books! Our first time out together was to a book store to buy new books in which i recommended to her The Truth About Forever! She is totally obsessed with Sarah Dessen now and sometimes im a bit jealous of her because she sometimes gets her books before i do!! We spent many days at lunch just reading in silence like complete dorks and it was all because of Sarah Dessen and The Truth About Forever!

i will like to take my best friend camila along for the ride because she has always been there for me since we met in kinder garden she has always given me her hand even when i refused i she is like a sister to me and i will probably not been here today if it wasnt for her. she is also a fan of this books. in colombia where we lived finding your books are really hard so we havent read as much as we wouldwant to, we buy them one every six months when our parents allow us to order from amazon. these boks re conected our friendship gave us something new to bond.

"Friendship". In that one word, the weight of the world is carried. It holds the very meaning why our world runs the way it does, because people, women, girls just like us, have the option of leaning on that shoulder when times get hard. Whether it being a crazy mother, a sister whose about to get married, being pregnant, or someone close dying, you always have someone to go to, a friend. And that one friend carries your entire world in their hands, whether they feel comfortable with that privilege or not, and you do the same for them.
But what if you didn't have someone to go to? What if you relied on you, and only you. Would you get by? Could you get by? What if you took yourself along on the ride, because you haven't found who you want to be yet? And if you don't know who you want to be, then how could you possibly know that one person who would travel into that adventure with you? You couldn't. I know that for sure. But I do know I don't need that one person, that I can rely on myself, but only long enough until I find who I am. And then, as soon as I find that girl, I could tell you who I want to take on my ride. But for now, all I've got are Sarah Dessen's Books, and the world to start looking. And all i know, is that Sarah Dessen's characters are helping me shape that path.

The person I would like to take along for the ride with me is my mother. We have had our ups and downs and things havent always been easy, she's a single mom of 2 and it can get a little crazy but she is my best friend now and I havent got a clue what I'd do withought her. Remy's mom in This Lullaby really reminds me of my mom, married a few times, none of them really what she had hoped them to be like. Always buisy but when she holds my hands I feel safer than ever. I really think she would enjoy reading your books as much as I do. So thats why I would take her along for the ride. Because no other person could love and care for me like she does. And we'd have a blast reading together!

To make this short and sweet, I'm going to say something that I really hope will mean something to you, as much as it means for me.

Sami and I each live with our own struggles in life, our own troubles that block our path. we both influence each other a lot, and admire each other very much, because of these struggles. We give each other advice on anything, even what to do when we're bored. She's started to enjoy reading as much as i do, but only because i've been shoving books into her hands.. She's been trying to find Sarah Dessen books, but there is always a waiting list at the library, and her parents won't let her buy them. I've let her borrow one, and she is reading This lullaby right now. She's on the Dessen training wheels right now. Hopefully soon she'll be riding mountain bikes with Eli and Auden. Just starting to come along for the ride. If i win this contest, it'll give her a chance to read these books that will bring us closer. :D
